Mont-Blanc Tramway - TMB
12 km ride from Le Fayet (bottom of Saint-Gervais village) ( alt. 580m) to the Bionnassay Glacier (alt. 2 372m) at the foot of the Mont-Blanc.
Different stops :
• Saint-Gervais, alt. 792m
• Motivon, alt. 1 400m
• Col de Voza alt. 1 653m
• Bellevue, alt. 1 794m
• Nid d'Aigle, alt. 2380m, at the foot of the Bionnassay glacier
Please note the following :
One can take the train from the 2 main stations, Le Fayet or Saint-Gervais. The stop in Motivon is situated in the middle of a forest and used mostly by local residents.
If you wish to take the train from Col de Voza, Bellevue or Nid'Aigle station then remember to carry your cheque book or sufficent cash as credit cards are not accepted.
The train runs to and from Nid d'Aigle in summer only. In winter the train line stops at Bellevue.
The Nid d'Aigle is located on the climbing route towards the Mont Blanc. You should meet a number of mountaineers preparing to make the climb.
